Sacred Sound

Kirtan Kriya & The Science of Sound

Kirtan Kriya is a foundational Kundalini meditation using the mantra Sa Ta Na Ma, a sound current representing the cycle of life (infinity, birth, life, death, rebirth). It combines mantra, mudra (finger movements), and visualization to balance the hemispheres of the brain and harmonize the mind-body system.

Clinical studies show that just 12 minutes a day of Kirtan Kriya can improve memory, reduce stress, and support long-term brain health. Research from institutions like UCLA and the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation suggests measurable benefits in reducing risk factors for dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Cymatics: Geometry of Sound

Cymatics is the study of sound made visible. Coined by Hans Jenny in 1967, it reveals how vibration creates intricate patterns on surfaces such as water, sand, or membranes, often resembling sacred geometry.

In simple terms: sound creates form. When vibration moves through matter, new patterns appear. Since the human body is mostly water, sound has the ability to reorganize and reshape our cells, tissues, and inner landscape.

This is why mantra, gong, and sacred music are so transformative, they don’t just calm the mind, they literally restructure the body toward harmony and balance.

Cymatics invites us to:

  • Be mindful of the words we speak: every sound we create ripples into our body and environment.

  • Choose the music and frequencies we listen to with discernment, recognizing their power to influence our mind, body, and soul.

As you move through Radiance Rituals, let sound be your ally, whether in mantra, music, or silence, knowing it is shaping you in ways both seen and unseen.
